After posting a solid 3rd place at the Super Cup of Watercraft, for the first round of the IJSBA National Tour, May 14 -15, in Panama City Beach, FL, I made the front page of the Panama City News Herald Sunday newspaper which boasts 93,250 views every Sunday. The article may be viewed in it's entirety here: http://www.newsherald.com/articles/city-93616-compete-panama.html
Mike Young's Pro Hydro-X Tour, Rounds 3 & 4, in Macon Ga, April 16-17, was a great success for the Ratti team. Both days I placed 2nd to fellow X Scream team rider, Jason Stoyer. The real excitement began when a freestyle "expression session" was held following the competition routines both days which generated a lot of local attention.
I was also fortunate to be featured in the Clayton News Daily newspaper. The article may be read in its entirety online at http://www.mycountypaper.com/claytonsports/headlines/Ratti_ready_to_recapture_jet_ski_glory_121008464.html. -Michael Ratti After posting results for the latest Pro Hydro-X Tour in Tavares Florida, Michael Ratti makes the main page of sponsor Hostility Clothing's website! A jet ski freestyle event called "XSCREAM Daytona Freeride" is being held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Saturday in the waves adjacent to the Makai Beach Lodge, 707 S. Atlantic Ave., Ormond Beach. Professional jet ski competitors will be showcasing an array of tricks like barrel rolls and back flips that are similar to those seen in freestyle motorcross. On Saturday, event organizers and vendors on hand for Freeride will be holding give- aways and a raffle that benefits the American Watercraft Association. Sunday starting at 10 a.m., the jet ski and PWC enthusiasts in town for the event are holding a group ride from Tomoka State Park down the Halifax River to Ponce Inlet and back. Among the expected riders is Michael Ratti, from Atlanta, Ga., a two-time national freestyle jet ski champ in American Power Boat Association and International Jet Sports Boating Association sanctioned events. Ratti said pro competitors from Canada, France and across the country will be at the event, but anyone can register for the Freeride. Ratti said for less experienced riders, the event is an opportunity to ask the pros for tips on customizing jet skis and performing advanced tricks. "This event is steadily growing. For the past several years we've had over 500 riders and more than a thousand people in attendance from their extended groups," Ratti said. For more information, go online to daytonafreeride.com. " Two-time national freestyle jet ski champ, Michael Ratti will be in Daytona Beach this weekend, January 14 – 16, to attend the annual Daytona Freeride. The Daytona Freeride concept started by inviting friends to come to Daytona to ride the local beach break. After doing a few small rides with 30-50 people things grew fast and got bigger until it finally became an actual sponsored charity event in 2006. Since then is has seen great success in attendance with over 500 riders and an overall growth with video spots in multiple sports DVD's, internet and magazine coverage around the world. Last year the Daytona Freeride raised over $13,000 for local charities. For more information, visit www.DaytonaFreeride.com. For Immediate Release
